Bienvenidos a Many Efforts, One Goal (MEOG)!

Hello everyone and welcome to the blog for Many Efforts, One Goal!

Whether you are just learning about MEOG for the first time or you have heard me talking about this for months, this is the place to read, discuss and learn all about our work thus far. I first had this idea during my time volunteering in Guatemala last summer, but MEOG has matured and basically taken over our lives since then. Here is the basic premise:

Many Efforts, One Goal is a social networking website designed for and run by the development community. Development agencies of all varieties can create personal profiles on the website to outline their organization's projects and goals. The idea of the site is to use the profiles as nodes to reach potential donors, volunteers, researchers and, most importantly, other like-minded organizations. This summer we are working in Guatemala to collect the information necessary to set up our first "Regional Network".

MEOG's long term goal is to have Regional Networks spanning the globe, giving NGOs and all varieties of development agencies access to a wide range of online resources. Our guiding philosophy, however, is that the ultimate resource of development agencies are other development agencies. Through greater collaboration and closer coordination of projects and resources, development agencies can work together to build a better world for everyone.

At no cost to participating organizations, MEOG will be your window into the development world around you.

If you or anyone you know is interested in learning more about Many Efforts, One Goal, check out some of the information listed in the sidebar. The PowerPoint is quite professional and pretty comprehensive, Paco. What's the audience, though? You'd tweak it to make a pitch to potential participants, right?

Buen trabajo pato :)

Thank you Sara,

The audience for the PowerPoint to which you are referring are people coming to this blog who are new to the project. We have created different versions depending on our target audience, but this particular version, we hope, provides a bit more detail and organization to the project.
